Kofu DNA Polymerase is a genetically engineered enzyme with a higher affinity to DNA than the common DNA Polymerase. It significantly improves the continuous synthesis of DNA and the PCR products. Kofu DNA Polymerase has excellent 5 '→3' Polymerase activity and 3 '→5' exonuclease activity (proofreading activity). Its excellent exonuclease activity can effectively reduce the probability of mismatches, ensure the accuracy of amplification, and has high fidelity, 100 times of ordinary Taq enzyme. Kofu DNA Polymerase has a higher synthesis speed than ordinary DNA polymerases, and is widely used for high fidelity amplification of long fragments with high GC, high AT and other substrate templates.

One unit is the amount of enzyme that will incorporate 10 nmol of dNTP into acid-insoluble products in 30 minutes at 74°C with activated salmon sperm DNA as the template-primer.
